Our Story

The Hushvo Origin

Built for bodies the bedding aisle forgot.

I’m Zachary, founder of Hushvo. This began with a problem I knew personally—and a belief that bigger bodies should never be an afterthought.

This visual is an illustrative representation of the Hushvo origin story, not a portrait of Zachary.

The personal problem

I had tried everything. Nothing felt made for me.

At 6'0" and about 298 lb—nearly 300 pounds—I know how much body size can change the experience of sleep. Years of long hours in front of a computer were followed by neck stiffness and uncomfortable mornings. I kept trying pillows and bedding, hoping the next one would finally feel right.

Soft pillows collapsed and lost their shape.

Low pillows left too much space beneath my neck and shoulders.

Hard pillows offered substance without real comfort.

The usual choices asked me to compromise: enough support or a welcoming feel, useful height or softness. I did not want another generic option. I wanted everyday comfort designed from the proportions and needs of bigger bodies outward.

The principle that changed everything

Height first.
Support before softness.

02 / Design from the foundation up

Proportion first.
Then materials.
Then the finish.

A premium material cannot make up for the wrong dimensions. We start by creating meaningful height and space for broader shoulders and larger frames. Then we choose solid, substantial materials intended to hold useful form.

Only after that foundation is working do we tune the surface feel. Because support should not mean unforgiving, and softness should not disappear the moment weight meets the pillow.

The Hushvo sequence

Every decision has an order.

Not a list of marketing extras—a practical order of operations for products intended to feel substantial, considered, and comfortable.

  1. Height first

Begin with enough room for the body instead of asking the body to adapt to an undersized product.

  2. Solid materials

Use substantial components with a purpose: dependable structure, useful shape, and a feel worthy of daily life.

  3. Support, then softness

Build a stable foundation first, then make it welcoming. Comfort works best when it has something to stand on.

A bigger mission

Hushvo starts with pillows. It does not end there.

We are building bedding and home essentials with bigger bodies in mind from the beginning—not enlarged as an afterthought and never hidden behind a one-size-fits-all promise.

I created Hushvo for people who have spent too long being told that standard should be good enough. You deserve products that make room for you, feel considered, and help make everyday rest more comfortable.
