Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely as appropriate on performing a contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations. The available basis and your related rights depend on your location and the specific activity.
5. How we disclose personal information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
- Shopify, which provides our commerce platform, hosting, checkout, and related store services. Shopify processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. Learn more in the Shopify Privacy Policy and at the Shopify Privacy Portal.

- Parties to a business transaction in connection with a potential or completed financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of a business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
7. Marketing choices
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message. Even after you opt out of marketing, we may still send non-promotional communications about your account, orders, customer-service requests, or other transactions.
Cookie, advertising, and data-sharing choices are separate from email preferences. Use the privacy controls available on our website or visit the data sharing opt-out page for applicable choices.
8. International data transfers
Hushvo serves customers across multiple countries. Personal information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, including where Shopify and our other service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from your local laws. Where required, we and our providers use measures intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for cross-border transfers.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Retention periods vary based on the type of information; whether your account or transaction remains active; the time needed to fulfill orders and provide support; legal, tax, accounting, warranty, and reporting obligations; the need to resolve disputes or enforce agreements; fraud and security concerns; and applicable limitation periods. Information may remain for a limited time in protected backups before deletion or overwriting.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no online service, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use a unique password, keep account credentials confidential, and contact us if you believe your interaction with Hushvo is no longer secure.
11. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@hushvo.com so we can review and take appropriate action.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to exceptions under applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to or a copy of personal information about you.
- Request correction or deletion of personal information.
- Receive certain information in a portable format.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise a right, email support@hushvo.com. For applicable advertising choices, you may also use our data sharing opt-out page. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will use information supplied for verification only to review and respond to the request.
Where permitted, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may ask for proof of authorization and may need to verify your identity directly. Rights are not absolute, and we may deny or limit a request when allowed by law; if so, we will explain the reason when required.
13. Questions and complaints
If you have a concern about how personal information is handled, please contact us first so we can review it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority.
If we deny a request and your local law provides an appeal right, reply to our decision email and state that you want to appeal. We will review the appeal and respond as required by applicable law.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, services, technology, or legal obligations. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. When required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
